Voz - 1er viaje / Throwback post

Hola a todes!

Para el post de hoy volvemos al 2012 cuando fui invitada por primera vez a retratar a las tejedoras mapuches de VOZ y todo su entorno. Este proyecto creado por Jasmine Aarons, donde a través del comercio justo, sus tejidos e historias son llevados a diferentes partes del mundo, teniendo su tienda principal en Nueva York.

Fue un viaje con hermosos paisajes, mate, pancito amasado y ricas cazuelas conociendo rincones perdidos de la Araucanía en Chile.

Más adelante iré subiendo otros viajes conociendo a otras tejedoras.

Por ahora preparo mis vacaciones a Japón :) probablemente sea mi próximo post ya en Agosto.

Hello everyone!

In today’s post we go back to 2012, when I was invited for the first time to portray the mapuche weavers from VOZ and their surroundings. This is a project from Jasmine Aarons, where through fair trade with the weavers, their work and story are traveling around the world, with their main store in New York.

It was a trip through la Araucanía, Chile, with beautiful landscapes, mate, pancito amasado and a couple of cazuelas.

Soon I’ll upload other trips with new weavers.

This is the Voz statement: “VOZ is a B Corporation certified ethical fashion company whose mission is to protect the livelihoods, well-being, and cultural values of rural indigenous women globally. We pay living wages for every textile and sewn garment, and use sustainable fibers and processes.”

Now, I'm preparing my vacations in Japan (probably my next post in August)

NY (1st time) / Throwbackpost

Hoy les dejo fotos de lo que fue mi primer viaje a Nueva York en el 2014 (laúnica vez de vacaciones para conocer la ciudad). La verdad una de las mejores coincidencias fue encontrarme con el Mermaid Parade en Coney Island, que fue una locura (junto con el concierto de MS MR y The National en Brooklyn que estuvo taan bueno). Gracias NY por ser tan bacán como dicen.

Ah! Y tengo increíbles noticias! Voy a Japón de vacaciones! Así que cualquier recomendación pueden dejarla en los comentarios, se los agradecería mucho!

Today I'll show you my first time in New York in 2014 (the only trip for vacations to discover the city). One of the best coincidences for being honest was the Mermaid Parade in Long Island, it was insane! Also the concert from The National and MS MR was sooo great. Thanks NY for being as cool as people say.

Rockwerchter 2016 / Throwbackpost

Los que me conocen o ven mis redes sociales saben que amo los concierto y festivales, así que este es un Post sobre EL MEJOR FESTIVAL DE LA VIDA, llamado Rochwerchter (ubicado en Bélgica). Pude ver artistas como Skunk Anansie, PJ Harvey, Iggy Pop, Courtney Barnett, Savages, Beck (una de las mejores sorpresas del festival), Florence and the Machine, Tame Impala, etc.

Tuvimos lluvia, barro (mucho barro) y la mejor experiencia musical de mi vida.

Para los que conocen mi cámara (Fuji x100t) podrán saber que sólo puedo llegar a 50mm con el lente adicional, por lo que las fotos de cerca significa que estaba REALMENTE cerca de los artistas.

Fue mi primer festival en el extranjero y fue una increíble experiencia.

The ones who knows me or follow me in my social media, knows that I love concerts and festivals, so this is a post about THE BEST FESTIVAL IN LIFE, called Rockwerchter (placed in Belgium). I coul see shows from artists like Skunk Anansie, PJ Harvey, Iggy Pop, Courtney Barnett, Savages, Beck (one of the best shows in the festival, I went with no expectations), Florence and the Machine, Tame Impala, etc.

We had rain, mud (a lot of mud) and my best musical experience in life.

For the ones who have tried my camera (Fuji x100t) you know that the extra lens only reach 50mm, that means when you see some artist close, it means that she/he was REALLY close to the camera.

It was my first Festival abroad and the experience was amazing!

Rockwerchter, I miss you.
